Coachman Genius InteriorCorniche 17/2 interior is spacious, large side window for single dinette is a good feature, side kitchen offers decent worktop.

Jenkinson’s opinion: The Swift Corniche range has always given luxury spec and content since its introduction back in 1976. Swift used GRP for roofs, front and rear end panels and also as added side trim. This looks very smart even years down the line. The Corniche 17/3 offered an excellent package for a small family of three. The luxury interior saw alarm fitted with now chintzy mains lights and thick upholstery and well finished wood work.

The roof locker storage is top rate with plenty and also of a good depth for larger objects. Kitchen offers a full Stoves oven and sink/drainer in dark green plus a decent sized fridge. Worktop is good though not flush fitting whilst the side dresser offers a cocktail cabinet and CD holder and player plus radio. End washroom is well fitted with shower and electric flush loo but floor space is a little restricted. Distinctive, luxury, and quality build the Corniche 17/3 is well worth a look.

Coachman Genius KitchenCocktail locker is built in and also CD rack/player too.

How to find a good one
Swift Corniche’s were popular clubman tourers with all the bits you needed to make caravanning a home from home affair. Generally they are well looked after and last well. Furniture fittings are well screwed together and a solid feel is apparent. Do check for damp at the front sides and in the roof to as some did leak through a poorly sealed TV roof aerial.

The dark green sink/drainer can scuff really badly and if that’s the case then a new sink would need to be fitted. Check that the alarm is working correctly and again look at Swift dealerships for Corniche’s, but the older units pre 1993 did suffer from damp so we say look at newer dealer stocked models.

Caravan Insurance on this caravan should be around £100 - £140. Security: If it does not come with a wheel clamp or hitch lock budget around £100 for a good one of these.
